Businessman. Immigrant. Yonkers Resident.

Meet John Isaac

John Isaac is a local businessman, financial advisor, legal immigrant, and proud resident of Yonkers. He is running for New York State Assembly in the 90th District β€” the district that represents the City of Yonkers. John believes public office is a public trust β€” not a political inheritance. For too long, Albany insiders have treated leadership like it belongs to them. John is running to return that power to the people of Yonkers.

As a legal immigrant, John understands hard work, responsibility, and opportunity. He came to this country to build a better life β€” and he raised his family right here in Yonkers. In 2024, John earned 44% of the vote. This time, with your support, he's ready to finish the job.

John immigrated from India at 19 and built a successful career in finance, working at Merrill Lynch and MetLife. He is now a vice president at Forest Hills Financial Group. A Yonkers resident for more than 16 years, he lives with his wife, Shelby, and is the proud father of Alisha & Josh, and grateful "son-in-love" Krishna Patel.

Yonkers Public Schools Face $101 Million Budget Gap for 2026-2027

Mayor Spano & Superintendent Anibal Soler, Jr. Head to Albany to Advocate for Funding to Prevent Cuts YONKERS, NY – March 3, 2026 – Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and Superintendent of Schools Anibal Soler, Jr. head to Albany tomorrow to meet with State representatives and New York State’s Division of Budget to advocate for additional funding to help close a $101 million budget gap for 2026-2027. Driven by a structural gap created by an outdated Foundation Aid Formula used to calculate funding for New York school districts and rising special education and health care costs, Yonkers Public Schools face drastic cuts in programs and services for the next school year.
